Add/Edit SLA

When you click Add a new SLA Configuration or Edit a SLA, you will have this template.

sla config page.png

Name : Enter a descriptive and unique name for your SLA configuration. This name will be used to identify the SLA in dashboards and reports.

Description : Provide a brief description of the SLA to help others understand its purpose and scope.

Supported Project Key : Select the project that this SLA configuration applies to. You can choose one project key.

Supported Issue Types : Choose the issue types that will be monitored under this SLA. The available issue types will be displayed based on the selected project key.

Start Date : You should create a Jira Date/Time custom field and name it, for example, "SLA Start Date," so you can easily identify it among other Jira Date/Time custom fields.

This custom field will serve as the start date for measuring the SLA. It determines when the SLA timer begins.

End Date : You should create a Jira Date/Time custom field and name it, for example, "SLA End Date," so you can easily identify it among other Jira Date/Time custom fields.

Select the custom field that will be used as the end date for measuring the SLA. This field indicates when the SLA timer stops.

Calendar : Select the calendar that will govern the SLA timings, including working days and holidays.

Shape : Choose the visual representation of the SLA (e.g Diamond, Circle, Rectangle) that will appear on the SLA Panel.

Unit : Select your preferred measuring unit. This unit of time (e.g hours, days) will be used to measure the SLA.

Notifications: You can enable push notifications to receive alerts when the SLA starts or is breached.

To enable notifications in Chrome, you can follow this guide: How to Enable Browser Notifications.

Once notifications are enabled, ensure that https://[*.]kepler-technologies.com is permitted to send notifications to your browser.

Panel Display: You can check the checkbox to choose whether to display the SLA panel or not.

Add Levels : Define multiple levels with corresponding colors. For example:

  • 0 <= level < 150: Red

  • 150 <= level < 360: Yellow

  • 360 <= level < 900: Green

The colors change based on the elapsed time.

For instance, if the elapsed time is 15 minutes, the color would be green because 0 <= 15 < 20.

Conditions take more priority over Goals.
